Technically skilled and intoxicatingly imaginative, Aleksandra Bokova invites you into her vivid dreamscapes filled with magic, humour and hot pink flames. Built upon her own experiences of the oppressive beauty standard, Aleksandra’s amorphous characters resist conformity by claiming their surreal 3D space and proving that there’s power in vulnerability. This artist grew up in Russia and had to conform to a very traditional vision of femininity and sexuality. She thus regains control of her body through her art, redefining what it means for her to be a modern and free young woman.

From doughy, to slimy and chromatic textures, her environments bring a tactility that becomes irresistibly ‘reach-out-and-touch-it’ in her animated pieces. Aleks mainly uses VR sculpting tools to bring an intuitive and hand-made approach to her works. She has collaborated with various brands such as Amazone Music and MTV.
