Andy Harbeck is an award-winning artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles synthesising retro-futuristic styles including cyberpunk, sci-fi, synthwave and anime. With a background in the film industry, he has worked on feature films from Bad Guys, Kung Fu Panda, Trolls, to the Matrix. He is a Head of Look Development at DreamWorks Animation. Harbeck’s art combines his passion for movies and telling visual stories, transporting the viewer into a new world while giving glimpses into a story that’s unfolding, evoking emotions of nostalgia for the past. 

His distinctive style and colours are inspired by movies, anime, and the beauty in urban landscapes such as Los Angeles and Tokyo, he draws from his own nostalgia, growing up in the 80s to create scenes that feel ethereal and dream-like of another world.
