Karen Lynch is a self-taught artist based in Adelaide, Australia, who creates digital collages and papers from magazines, books and period catalogues found in second-hand stores and second-hand bookstores, for example. Through her work inspired by the vintage universe, retro cinema and architecture, she aspires to resurrect and transform pieces of the long-forgotten past into colorful, surreal and retro-futuristic landscapes.
Karen’s works have been used to promote international musical and artistic events, including the Festival des arts de La Villette in Paris for the 2017 - 2018 and 2018 - 2019 seasons. She has also produced album cover projects for Sony Music Australia, Universal Music and various independent labels, artists and DJs from around the world, including Matt Simons, Felix Jaehn, Mares, Boombox Cartel, LIOHN, Side Effects band, the Electric Company, Tim Wheatley and Wooly Mammoth. She has also exhibited her work in France, Italy, Norway, Canada and Australia. She has collaborated on collage projects with international artists such as Jesse Treece, Sarah Eisenlohr, Mr Babies, Andrew McGranahan and Adelaide collage artist Kate Cuthbert.
