Tom Coolen is a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator based in Hasselt, Belgium. In his art, he aspires to offer spectators a moment of relief, happiness or positive reflection in a daily life marked by concerns, questions, responsibilities and perpetual noises. This pause, he makes it possible with the help of the colors, gradients, shapes and patterns he works in his works. His mission is to spread positivity and beauty in the world, both in the context of his own work and projects, but also in collaboration with customers and brands seeking to do the same. Tom aspires to bring out the beautiful from his hiding place that embodies negativity, to fold it into shapes and to color it.

Modern graphics, abstract and visionary art, and spiritual leaders like Terence McKenna, Alan Watts, Ram Dass and Eckhart Tolle are a great source of inspiration for him. It fuses some of their thoughts and expressions with his, and associates them with aspects of nature (a glimpse of the sky through leaves or a sunset during a storm for example) to create a joyful or simply soothing whole.
