Nour's work is rooted in an exploration of Middle Eastern identities and cultures. She uses textiles as a form of artistic expression. 

"In my physical work, I emphasize handwork - in the form of hand-dyeing, embroidery and weaving. This process references generations of women's manual labor in textile making, as well as notions and processes inherited from matrilineal transmission of memory. My physical pieces are medium to large in size and invite the viewer to take time to consider their construction and their role in bridging generations and regions."

This artwork is a reference to the fluidity that exists in the Middle East between the world of the divine and the supernatural, and how they merge and intertwine. Nour introduces elements of supernatural and superstitious protection in the form of traditional Levantine materials, colors, or techniques that have historically been used for this purpose.
